Semra came to Seattle

My best friend Semra came home for a few weeks, we had a great time re-living our glory days. I haven't seen her since she moved over 2 year ago. I have missed her so much and it was really fun to see her, except way too short! Our daughters even loved eachother - they are our little mini-me's.
Now she has moved out of the country for the next year and I miss her SOOO much.

Moved

We moved a few months ago just across town, less than a mile away... Here is our living room of our new place. I'm posting these pictures for Semra... We have been working hard re-painting and fixing up this old place a bit. It's so nice to have a yard for Maizyn to play in and also great neighbors that we hang out with almost every night for an hour or so. It's also in a very quiet little neighborhood and we like it.

by a fish!! Gotcha Didn't I? :)

Maizyn has a sticker chart and we promised her that if she did good for 2 weeks then we would get her either a new dress-up dress or a fish. She choose a fish. We got this beautiful Beta. She named it Red, Clay named it sharkbait. So we decided Red would be her first name and Sharkbait could be her middle name. Maizyn loves it. She helps me clean the tank an even reads to her little fishy. She always asks Dad if he took good care of her fish while she was gone. SO cute!

Happy Independence!

We had a great fourth of July this year. Clay, Maizyn and I went to "Heritage Days" in Issaquah at Memorial Park. It was a fun little festival with things to do for the kids. We missed the parade by 10 minutes, but still had a great time.

Maizyn tried Cotton Candy for the first time, and loved it.

She got her face painted very patriotically!

We barbecued streaks and Chicken for lunch/dinner, then Maizyn and I headed over the Folkmans for an even bigger barbecue and met my parents there. We headed to the Seattle Waterfront for Fireworks. Maizyn met a nice Clown that made her a beautiful balloon flower.

She danced to the band.
And finally saw the fireworks!

Maizyn loved them and was really excited to see them. Througout the day I kept telling her to say "Happy 4th of July", she would try but then got the words mixed up and would tell me, " I don't know how to say that." Finally on our way home from dropping off my family at around 11:30 at night, she says really excited, " Mommy I know how now!" I was confused and she says, " Happy Fourth of July Mommy! " It was so cute. I'm grateful to live in such a blessed country and to enjoy the freedom I have. God Bless America!
