Carving Pumpkins!!

Well, with Clay's schedule of working on the weekends, we didn't make it to the Pumpkin Patch this year, but we did make it to Safeway for Family Night and at least got to carve our pumpkins together! Maizyn chose the tiny little 59 cent pumpkins as the one she wanted. We also got her another bigger but still small one to carve. Needless to say, she still wanted us to carve the tiny one too, so we did and it turned out cute!! :) Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of the final product of our work, but I will and stay tuned, I will be sure and post them. Here are a few cute ones of our carving experience. Maizyn was loving it! She is really getting into the Halloween spirit. LOVES to see all the pumpkins on the porches of everyone houses... and of course, she's two, so she loves to dress up any chance she gets. My sister, Heather got her a clown wig the other day and she loves to wear it around the house and act like a goofball... Anyways, here are the pictures. Don't mind the mattress in the background, we just got a new bed the same day and are still in the process of getting rid of our old one! :)

Maizyns Movie!

I stole this from a friends blog... It made me laugh so hard. I love it!

They learn from their parents...

I've decided this is my favorite age so far. Maizyn is picking up on EVERYTHING these days. We really have to be careful what we say and they way we talk around her. Here are some funny things she has said lately:

- " Seriously, MOM! I'm serious! "
- " I'm going to shut the door, I PROMISE! "
- " NO Mommy, no Yelling! No yell at Daddy!" ( She's said this a few times the other way around too )
- Almost every time I come out of the bathroom " You go potty in the toilet? Good Job Mommy! " Today she even added " I'm so proud of you! "
- " Baby go in timeout Mommy, She's bad!" then she takes her baby to her room and puts her on the bed. " You go in timeout baby! You be nice!"
- Last night we were looking at her Jesus book , " Jesus Funny Mommy! Jesus Funny! "
- She also reminds me that we need to say prayers at night, last night I forgot, and was just about to leave her room saying goodnight... " Mommy, say prayers? " So I came back in and we said one. What an angel huh?
- And my Absolute Favorite: "I love you Mommy!" Then she gives me a huge hug.

At least she picks up on the good things we try to teach her too. Those are my proud moments. Kids are cute! Gotta love 'em.

Just for fun...

This was fun to do because half the people we talk to say Maizyn looks just like me, the other half say she looks just like Clay. I guess its who knows us best and who she is with - generally they lean toward that parent... this just goes to show that she does look more like me! (at least in these pictures! )

She's a HAM!

I thought these pictures were hilarious so I had to post them. Maizyn sure loves to make silly faces. She got out of the bath one night and just wanted to dance around naked and definately did not want to get dressed. Here she is talking on the phone in the nude.
