Christmas Season...

I am so excited for Christmas this year. Maizyn is starting to understand that Santa Clause is someone special and she is recognizing him everywhere! It's so cute. I updated my playlist to play some of my favorite Christmas music which is definately one of my favorite things about Christmas. Today, Maizyn and I are home sick with fevers and nasty coughs and bad colds, so we are curling up together in the blanket and watching Christmas movies, while drinking hot chocolate and warm toast. Yum... Hopefully we will feel better tomorrow because we had planned to go look for a Christmas tree, and go visit Santa, as well as decorate the house.

Giving Thanks!

We had a wonderful Turkey Day this year. Clay played in the annual Turkey Bowl in our ward, and we had dinner with my in-law's. It's always different when you aren't with your own family on the holidays and I'm still adjusting to having two families since being married, but it is getting much easier and I was able to really enjoy myself with Clay's Family. I have so much to be greatful for this Thanksgiving. I am mostly thankful for my family and the love and support I have from all of them. Also, thankful for good food, good friends, the Gospel, and a warm home with a warmbed to sleep in at night. So many times I find myself wishing for better, but really I am so blessed and need to remember that more often. That's what this holiday was all about and I am grateful for that. I hope you all enjoyed it as well.
The Aftermath of Turkey Dinner... Sleeping Beauty??
Papa Steve and Maizyn are best buddies!

Grandma and Grandpa Facer also were in town this week and we sure had a blast having 3 late nights in a row hanging out with them - gossip, game nights, and spiritual conversation... LOVE IT. Maizyn fell in love with Grandma and Grandpa Facer all over again, and I'm so glad she gets to spend time with them when she does. She called Grandpa Facer - " Papa Fece"... made me laugh. :)

We missed the family that is not close, but kept them in our thoughts often. Love you all... now it's Christmas Season, can you beleive it!!?!! I'm so excited.

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Happy 3rd Anniversary!

Yesterday was our 3 year Anniversary. I know it may not seem like that long, but I can't believe I've already been a married woman for 3 years! Crazy! We dropped Maizyn off at my parents, and then Clay took me to Outback..... soooooo yummy! It was a way better dinner than I remember having last time I went there 2 years ago...( maybe because I was pregnant and everything tastes different when you are preggo ) Afterward, we went for a romantic walk and then went to Coldstone for dessert. It was nice to have some time together, just the two of us. We reminisced about our dating experiences, proposal, and some our favorite times together. It was a great night! I love my husband very much and am grateful to have married him.

This is why I'm not in any pictures

Every time I attempt to take a picture of us together, this is usually what happens. Maizyn trys to grab the camera and wants to do it herself! :)

Silly Silly Girl

One of Maizyn's favorite things to do is go through my purse. Yesterday, this is what came of it... Tanning Goggles!

Caught Red handed! or Red faced?

The other day I put Maizyn at the table with her markers and her pad of paper to color, which is her favorite thing to do these days. She is such the little artist. Well, I went in the other room for all of 10 minutes, she comes running in sooooo proud of herself. "Look Mommy! I color or my face! " My first reaction was to get mad, but then I had to laugh because she looked so funny. Needless to say, she did get a short time-out and a long talk so that she knew what she did was wrong. Now she just likes to color on her hands, hopefully soon this coloring craze will end! :) In the meantime, I just have to laugh.

More Halloween...

More cute pictures from Halloween! Look at the twins! They were ladybugs, aren't they cute?!

Thanks!

Just wanted to say thanks to all of you for your concern about my BIL. His surgery went well and he is recovering well. Things are better than expected. Hope all is well for everyone out there!

Prayer Request

My Brother in-law, Leif, was involved in a Construction accident on Wednesday in Seattle. A sand blaster lost control and lifted him 5 feet off the ground while severely burning 2/3rds of his back. He had to be lifted out of the site by a crane. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center Trauma Unit, luckily there were no broken bones or paralysis, but he is undergoing major surgery this morning to remove the sand that is embedded into his skin. He is lucky to be alive and we are grateful that things are not worse than they are. Here is some a link to a slide show and video footage of the scene to give you a better idea. Keep him and his family in your prayers. Thanks!

Beautiful Girl!

Here are some cute recent candids of my sweet sweet daughter that I love so much. ( I know that's all I ever post about, but what can I say, she's my life! ) Isn't she just beautiful!

Clownin around!

We had a wonderful Halloween this year! Maizyn was in heaven. We went to my Mom's neighborhood to go trick or treating with Maizyn's cousin Cecily. It was sooo cute. She absolutely loved it and loved being a clown ( even though she would never actually smile for the camera! ) Here's a picture of pumpkin carvin with my family as well. Fun times. I have more pictures that my Mom took of Maizyn and I, ( I was a cowgirl ) I will post those soon.
