Ward Christmas Party Santa Pictures.

LOVE her!

Nanny Diaries

This is what I am so blessed to do all day! I love my little kiddos and especially love bringing my daughter with me and playing with her all day as well, it helps me be a more patient person and a better Mother.

Oh Christmas Tree!

I love having the smell of fresh pine in my home and when all the lights are off in the house except for the ones on the tree... Christmas time is here and we are LOVING every minute of it. It's been an interesting year so far trying to teach Maizyn about baby Jesus and that Christmas is about Him and not just Santa... she's been pretty cute about it. It's so fun to have a 3 year old and get so excited about all the little things, like lights on the house, or a commercial, or something simple like that! She's our little angel.

Sure do like those Christmas Cookies baby!

We had a fun Saturday night making and decorating sugar cookies! Maizyn rolled out the dough, cut it, and helped decorate almost all of them. They were pretty good too! I think this is a new Christmas Tradition in the making!

Thanksgiving

I sit here recovering from a major feast of Thanksgiving Dinner.... which was AMAZING might I add, but I am overfilled with food as well as emotions of Gratitude. I won't go into too much detail of all the many many things I'm grateful for, but I will tell you that one of the most important things is my Family. I love you guys. We went over to my parents this year and had a great time. All the sisters that live in the area were there, which doesn't always happen... It was great. Earlier in the Morning, Clay played in our annual Turkey Bowl for our ward, then my sister did a little photo shoot of our little family for our Christmas pictures. I'm excited and think she got some pretty good ones. I'll be sure and post when we get them back. She is an amazing photographer with so much talent... Check her out here!

Here are a few candid pictures of the day...

Happy 4 Years!

Clay and I celebrated our 4 year anniversary on the 19th

and he surprised me with THIS:

I've been wanting a wedding band to go with my ring for a while now. He saved up for this without my knowledge (I do the finances) and totally surprised me... that's the be part of all of it. The cute thing was that he hid it in the fish tank under the "no fishing" sign for over a week. He gave me clues and I had to Hunt for my anniversary present which I knew nothing about. It was a fun little adventure. I love my husband so much and all that he is striving to do and become in this life. He is an amazing man and I'm really grateful for him as well as all that marriage has taught me so far...

All caught up...

Sorry to whoever follows my blog. I am a horrible blogger when I get busy... In the past few months we have moved, had a few birthdays, and had company... See below blogs for details and pictures. I now have Wednesday's off, so maybe I'll have more time to keep this thing up to date.

Happy 60th Daddy-o!!

"I'm diggin those Good Vibrations!"

I took my Dad to the Beach boys concert for his 60th Birthday. It was so fun to have a little Daddy/Daughter date. I can't remember the last time I had one of those with just the 2 of us. I think he had a good time too, even though we were in the nosebleed section and he was watching with his binoculars the whole time!

A funny story that is the epitome of "Dad":

We got there a little bit early ( I think there was a misprint on our tickets ) Well, it was a Children's Hospital Benefit concert, which was actually really cool to see all that goes into the hospital, but thats another story. Well, we went to find something to eat and saw that there was a buffet, so my Dad's like "Come on, lets go get some", I was hesitant because it looked like this was an "exclusive party" which it was. Turns out this little buffet with Prime Rib and all the good eats ( that were free ) was actually for the employees and Fundraising guilds that worked for Children's. Well, my Dad decides to eat it anyways... We shared a table with some nice people that were apparently pretty important, they asked my Dad why he was there, his reply " I just bought some tickets to come see the Beach Boys"... I was mortified. We left soon after that to find our nosebleed seats and watch the concert with binoculars. Love ya Dad. This was a memory made. :)

Maizyn turns 3!!

My little angel is 3 years old now! I can't beleive I have a 3 year old already. She has become quite the little jokester as well as a major girly girl. For her actual birthday I made her favorite chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast with candles in it...... went to the "water" park at Crossroads with Grandma!
... rode on the carosel at the mall, after lunch...

... and another birthday cake just for her!

Some funny things about my little goofball in the past few months:

A few days ago, she came running in and said "Mommy, come look at all my wishes!" I followed her into the bathroom to find about 8 coins in the toilet, apparently she thought it was a great wishing well! I was cracking up.

At night when doing our bedtime routines, I sang "I love to see the Temple"... for those of you who know this at the end it says "this is my sacred duty"... well, Maizyn says "Mommy! That is potty talk! " I was a little confused and asked why. " you said to shake your booty! "

I love this age. She is learning so much and talking so much. She makes me laugh on a daily basis. I can't beleive that three years ago I was taking home this:

I love you Maizyn! You are my angel!

POOF!! It's a Tinkerbell Birthday Party!!

For Maizyn's little party we had close friends and family go to the Children's Museum
then had cupcakes and pizza at the park
while she opened some presents.
It was a Tinkerbell theme and she was our little tinkerbell during the entire thing. She wore her crown, wings and held her wand the entire night. So cute!

Semra came to Seattle

My best friend Semra came home for a few weeks, we had a great time re-living our glory days. I haven't seen her since she moved over 2 year ago. I have missed her so much and it was really fun to see her, except way too short! Our daughters even loved eachother - they are our little mini-me's.
Now she has moved out of the country for the next year and I miss her SOOO much.

Moved

We moved a few months ago just across town, less than a mile away... Here is our living room of our new place. I'm posting these pictures for Semra... We have been working hard re-painting and fixing up this old place a bit. It's so nice to have a yard for Maizyn to play in and also great neighbors that we hang out with almost every night for an hour or so. It's also in a very quiet little neighborhood and we like it.

by a fish!! Gotcha Didn't I? :)

Maizyn has a sticker chart and we promised her that if she did good for 2 weeks then we would get her either a new dress-up dress or a fish. She choose a fish. We got this beautiful Beta. She named it Red, Clay named it sharkbait. So we decided Red would be her first name and Sharkbait could be her middle name. Maizyn loves it. She helps me clean the tank an even reads to her little fishy. She always asks Dad if he took good care of her fish while she was gone. SO cute!

Happy Independence!

We had a great fourth of July this year. Clay, Maizyn and I went to "Heritage Days" in Issaquah at Memorial Park. It was a fun little festival with things to do for the kids. We missed the parade by 10 minutes, but still had a great time.

Maizyn tried Cotton Candy for the first time, and loved it.

She got her face painted very patriotically!

We barbecued streaks and Chicken for lunch/dinner, then Maizyn and I headed over the Folkmans for an even bigger barbecue and met my parents there. We headed to the Seattle Waterfront for Fireworks. Maizyn met a nice Clown that made her a beautiful balloon flower.

She danced to the band.
And finally saw the fireworks!

Maizyn loved them and was really excited to see them. Througout the day I kept telling her to say "Happy 4th of July", she would try but then got the words mixed up and would tell me, " I don't know how to say that." Finally on our way home from dropping off my family at around 11:30 at night, she says really excited, " Mommy I know how now!" I was confused and she says, " Happy Fourth of July Mommy! " It was so cute. I'm grateful to live in such a blessed country and to enjoy the freedom I have. God Bless America!
