Current obsession?...

Do you become obsessed with something for a week or two and a time... whether it be a song, music, tv show, crafting, etcc... WellI do, and since work is slow and I've been able to actually surf the web, blog stalk, etcc... this is my new current obsession - Looking at wedding pictures. What is the deal with that? Well, it started with me looking up ideas for my Mom who is doing a wedding in a few weeks and needing a little inspiration for flowers - so I started looking. I can't beleive the endless possibilities out there! Wow. I loved my wedding, but if I were to do it all over different. I would have to have 10 different receptions because they all need a certain theme and it would be too hard for me to decide. Maybe I should become a wedding planner afterall. :) Here are some of my favorite blogs:

One of my FAVORITE weddings I've seen:

Happy 4th Birthday Maizyn!

I can't believe Maizyn is 4!! She is such a little sweetheart and has grown up so much this past year. I'm really proud of her and what a smart little girl she is.
Milestones of the past year:

learning how to write her name all by herself
identifying most letters of the alphabet and writing them
counting to 20
moving from nursery to Primary
taking swimming lessons
learning how to put in DVD's and movies and starting them all by herself.
identifying seasons and days of the weeks
learning some basic math
....and I'm sure many more
That's all I can think of right now, but I know she has become such a big girl and its a little bittersweet for me as her Momma. I don't want her to grow up, but I'm also very proud of her when I see her little mind developing and how many things she learns on a daily basis.
She still loves all the girly things (dancing, singing, barbies, princesses, dress-up, etc...) One of her favorite things to do is color pictures and make crafts. She is very much an artist and its hard to choose which projects to keep since she makes around 5 a day! :) We look foreword to her being a 4 year old. Maizyn started preschool last week and I think she really liked it. However, the days are long as I leave her 3 full 8 hour days a week. Her teacher says she's great until about 3:30 then starts to really miss me. Luckily I get to pick her up around 4:30, so she's not there into the evening. I'm sure it will get better with time and I know she will learn a lot. We also have plans to put her in ballet or dance, and of course more swimming lessons. Right now we are getting used to our new schedules, but once we all feel a little bit more comfortable, we will add more activities.

I love you Maizyn. I'm so proud to be your Mom and sometimes feel inadequate because you are such an incredible little Spirit. Thank you for being my sweet little girl. Happy 4th Birthday!

Hmmm... to blog or not to blog?

I think I have neglected this blog quite enough now. Since I am now back at an office sitting in front of the computer with a bit of down time each day, maybe I should start updating this thing and actually start blogging again... not that anyone reads this thing, but I might as well get back into it for myself.

Life has been quite busy and never seems to slow down, which I guess is a good thing because that means I'm being productive. I am no longer a nanny and now work fulltime at Microsoft as a Recruiting Coordinator. This is the same job I had 4 years ago when I was pregnant with Maizyn. It's a good job which is not too stressful but not extrememly boring either. Nice and steady which is what I like. I miss Maizyn soo soo soo much. She is my little munchkin and life is weird without her by my side at all times. She will be starting preschool next week for 2 or 3 full days ( I haven't decided ). She's excited about it. The other days she will be with Clay and with family. I'm a little jealous, but in the long run, this is a good thing. I know I was supposed to start working agin to help support our family while Clay is in school. This is a good thing. I keep telling myself that... (actually I really like it, I feel like I'm needed and appreciated a bit more plus I get to used my mad organization skills and there is a lot of potential to grow here.)

Little Maizyn is 4 now and is just so smart. I am so proud to be her Mom. She's great. We're going to throw her a Fancy Nancy party in a few weeks for her birthday. She picked this theme all by herself and its perfect for her. She is such a little girly girly with so much wit. We'll be sure and post lots of pics.

We had a great summer wrapping things up with my nanny job (playing in the kiddie pool and going to the beach with the kids often was GREAT! I'm glad I was able to do all these fun things with them before I had ot be stuck behind a desk all day. :) ) I also got to go to Florida at the beginning of the summer to visit my Bestie Semra. That was an amazing trip and we sure partied it up. I miss that girl and hope to be able to have lots more vacations like that.

Clay will be done with school officially next April. ( at least with this current program). I am very excited for him to have the skills and education to do something he loves. He loves school and is doing great.

We're just living life and loving it about 99 percent of the time. :)
