Breakdown... and Easter update

Our computer is broken. Something is wrong with the mother board, so I'm posting this from work and I haven't loaded any of our recent pictures onto this computer. So much for getting back on the blogging wagon! :( I guess I can still do some things, but it won't be as frequent as I hoped.

Well, we had a great Easter week / weekend.
We colored Easter eggs earlier in the week with my family, which Maizyn loved!! This year she was a little bit more careful about trying to stay clean.

On the Saturday before Easter, we went up to Issaquah Highlands with my sister Heather and her family for an easter egg hung and carnival! We were late and missed the toddler aged hunt, but we snuck into the 4-6 year olds for Maizyn. It was madness!!! These kids were crazy. I swear the hunt only lasted like 2 minutes because they were so fast. Poor Maizyn didn't even have time to understand what she was supposed to do, so me being the crazy mom, picked up the eggs for her and threw them into her basket so that she could at least have a few. I kept pointing to the eggs and telling her to put them in her basket, but one right after another, the older kids would come and swipe them out from under her as fast as they can. I had to step on 1 or 2 eggs so that Maizyn could pick them up on her own. Insanity! We loved it though.

They also had pictures with the Easter Bunny, and real bunnies for the kids to pet. I think that was Maizyn's favorite.

I do have a picture that Maizyn took with the easter bunny though that was emailed to me.

Cute.

Anyways, Easter Sunday we had a great Easter Dinner with Clay's family and then we went to my Mom's for dessert. It's always fun to spend time with family and friends on the holidays.

I will be back to post pictures of everything soon... and hopefully our computer will be up and running with no major problems/ loss.

I fell off...

the blog wagon... BUT I'm climbing back on!

Life sure got busy since I started this new nanny job ( working 3 days a week as a nanny, the other 2 still at the office ). I am working for a Family in Snoqualmie Ridge, taking care of a 4 month old little boy, my own 2 year old daughter, and a 4 year old girl. The kids I take care of are darling and I've already learned to love them, even though it is a lot of work sometimes. It's been really fun for Maizyn to have a permanent play-date, 3 days a week and she has learned to become independent pretty quickly since I've been using most of my energy on the baby.

Maizyn is also fully potty-trained!! This is the best news ever for me! :) She was a really fast learner. We tried letting her go every so often on the big girl potty, but never really enforced it. Well, we were running out of diapers one week and told Maizyn that we didn't have any left, so she HAD to go potty in the toilet... SUCCESS! She learned pretty much within 1 week! I am so proud of her. She is also night trained. I tried letting her wear her princess pull-ups, but she would wet them every time. When she was in her "big-girl panties" - no accidents. There have been a few here and there. But they are not frequent and I'm a very proud Mommy. NO MORE DIAPERS! $100 a month- in my pocket!

Clay has been working as a Physical Therapy Assistant at a Retirement Home only 1 mile from our house for 2 months now. He loves it and it has been a great blessing for us! He is starting school back up part time next month, so he will be even busier, but I'm proud of him.

We also got a new car! Finally! We got a 2005 Chevy Malibu and love it! It's been nice to have something reliable and new.

That's the update so far. Hopefully I can get back into a better routine of blogging and stay on the wagon! :0)
